Randonneurs Romania invites you to participate in the endurance cycling tours organized in the Oltenia area with the start/finish point in Craiova.
April 18 200 km Tour
May 9 300 km Tour
The tours will be held according to the organizational rules established by the ACP (Audax Club Parisien - a cycling club founded in 1904 in Paris that organizes endurance tours in France and administers a branch of cycling known as Randonneuring throughout the world; the most important event organized by the ACP is Paris-Brest-Paris) but also respecting the Highway Code in force.
Here are the regulations:
1. Any amateur cyclist can participate in the tours (licensees) organized by the ACP (Audax Club Parisien).
2. Persons under 18 must present parental consent.
3. Any type of vehicle propelled by human power is accepted.
4. To participate in a patent, the cyclist must complete a registration form, a declaration on their own responsibility and pay a registration fee established by the event organizer.
5. Participants must comply with the traffic rules on a public road established by the Highway Code in force, because during the lap, traffic is not stopped.
6. At night, the bicycle must be equipped with lights in front and behind, and the cyclist must wear a reflective vest.
7. During the patent, participants must have a civilized behavior with fellow riders but also with traffic participants.
8. The patent organizer, the ACP representative in Romania does not assume responsibility and cannot be held liable for any incident that occurred due to the fault of the participants during the patent, they being responsible for their acts/deeds during the lap.
9. Each participant must manage on their own, accompanying cars are not accepted, only at the checkpoints is "external" help allowed.
10. At the start, each participant will receive a route sheet (brevet card) that must be stamped at each checkpoint, in addition to the stamp, the time of passing through the respective point must be noted.
11. Deviations from the route or shortcuts are not allowed.
12. The time limits vary depending on the distance: 13:30 hours for 200 Km, 20:00 hours for 300 Km, 27:00 hours for 400 Km, 40:00 hours for 600 Km, 75:00 hours for 1000 Km and 90:00 hours for 1200 Km.
13. Cyclists must reach the checkpoint within the time frame specified by the organizer (there is an opening/closing time for each checkpoint), and the time of arrival at the checkpoint will be mentioned on the route sheet (brevet card).
14. At the end of the event, the participant signs the route sheet and hands it over to the organizer for verification and registration.
15. The brevet is not a competition, so no ranking is drawn up.
16. At the end of each brevet, commemorative medals can be purchased: bronze medal for the 200km brevet, silver for the 300km, vermilion red for 400km and gold for 600km.
17. Medals are also available for those who become Super Randonneurs (finish the 200, 300, 400 and 600 km certificates in the same year). Their design changes every 4 years.
