Ciucas enduro 2015

Ciucas Enduro is an Enduro Mountain Bike competition that takes place in the northern part of the Ciucas Mountains.

It involves completing special stages (timed) and non-timed connecting stages, but which must be completed within a limited time.
The special stages are 90% downhill, and include both technical sections, specific to mountain trails, and speed sections. The obstacles on the route will be predominantly natural.
The trails are strewn with boulders, roots, slippery surfaces, so they will demand the maximum from the competitors and their equipment.

There are 3 special stages, which total approximately 13 km and 2000 m of negative elevation difference.

The connecting stages will be completed on bicycles, but the organizers will also provide car transport on an area of the route. These will have to be completed within a limited time, but it will be a relaxed one, which will allow the competitors to socialize on the route as well as their rest.

However, due to the fact that the route will take place mostly in a sub-alpine and alpine area, the competitors will have to be used to traveling in such areas and equipped accordingly.
There will also be situations in which the bicycles will have to be pushed and transported over natural obstacles (boulders, fallen trees).

There will be 2 competitor fuel stations and bicycle service on the route, and water will be available at the start of each special stage, due to the lack of it on the rest of the route.

The competition is aimed at all mountain bikers who love both the mountains and spectacular descents, but, due to the technical difficulties of the route and the unforeseen situations that may arise at these altitudes, it is not recommended for inexperienced cyclists.
